Children Programs
Daily Vacation Bible School
The Summer Vacation Bible School implemented at 1627 Broadway was expanded to include all children in the community regardless of their church affiliation.
This program provides opportunities for Bible studies, Creative reading and writing, development of skills, memory exercises, improvement of self-esteem and self-image through drama presentations, and assembly activities.
This program is also designed to assist parents with their children so they can do their morning chores without interruption. The Daily Vacation Bible School is a wing of the Christian Education Department.

Youth Ministry
The Youth Ministry provides weekly activities for young people less than 30 years of age. These include but not limited to Bible Studies, debates, quiz competitions, and gospel talent shows. Quiz competitions and gospel talent shows primarily are held as group ventures within the group.
During the year competition expands to include community churches and affiliated churches. Trophies are awarded to the winner in both instances. Additionally, the summer activities buzz with excitement as preparations are made for the annual sports day.
This sports day event was implemented in 1982 and is held at different venues on September 4th. Some of the events offered are, Track and field, Soccer, Volleyball, and other specialized sports such as Egg-in-Spoon races and Tug-a-War. Trophies are awarded to the first, second and third place winners. The Youth Minister and a committee head the Youth Ministry.

Cadets
In 1992 the need to reach out to young men ages 9 through 20 became obvious (in light of the moral, ethical needs of the community) so the Cadets group for young men was formed. These teens meet weekly for spiritual, physical and social activities appropriate for their needs. Strong disciplined is practiced and maintained. An equivalent group for females of that age group is in its formative stages. A Chief Commander heads the Cadets.

Christian Education
During the summer months, the Christian Education Department conducts a weekly Bible Club for boys and girls 12 years and under. This program offers opportunities for socialization, memory work, and self-image improvement. The Christian Education, known also as the Sunday School, also meets every Sunday where kids and adults alike are taught the word of the lord and how to apply it to their daily lives. Every December, parents gather at Calvary to witness their children sing, recite and dramatize some of the things that they learn throughout the year. This is an event that the kids look forward to with great anticipation. This event marks the official end of all activities for the Christian Education calendar year. Three superintendents head the Christian Education.
